The Army Officers Housing Complex, commonly known as Askari-X, has more than 2,000 luxury houses. This is the largest Askari Housing Scheme in Pakistan.

The construction of these houses is however, sub-standard and the labour work is poor as you can see if you visit these houses. All the jobs seem half-done when you closely monitor the construction work. Anyhow, the security is better when compared to other societies like DHA.

  • My friend you are totally wrong. Indian Army did not camp at this place in 1971-72. In 1971 war, no area of Lahore was captured by Indian Army. However, in 1965 Indo-Pak war the Indian army was able to capture in the dark of night the eastern side of BRB canal.

  • yes. it is a good place to live, if only the quality of construction could have been better as compared to the cost the quality of construction is agreed to be very poor. The supervision and control during construction work seems to be lacking. Suggest more close supervision and monitoring is needed??
