Gondol Hill

This hill is quite easy to spot and recognize. Some say that there was a huge fire which burned the top of the hill and made it look like what it is today. The lalang grass at the peak can be taller than an average human being. However, there are certain hiking trails which can lead to the top of the hill. The scenery and views round the hill are amazing. Some refer it as Bukit Gundul.

  • One of the most distant view of this hill can be seen from Inobong Visitor & Research Centre in Penampang, which is 24.6 km away. This hill is also visible from Jalan Penampang Lama, which is 17.6 km away. It is however easier to spot on days when there is not much haze around.
