The wildlife reserve Muara Angke (SMMA) consist mainly of mangrove forest on the north edge of Jakarta. The reserve is bordered by the river "Kali" Angke and in the north by the protection forest Angke-kapuk. The adminstration of this site is provided by the forest service of Jakarta (Dinas Kehutanan DKI Jakarta).

The whole area of Pantai indah Kapuk used to be mangrove forest, now became high level residential.
