The Cimitero Monumentale ("Monumental Cemetery") is one of the two largest cemeteries in Milan. It is noted for the abundance of artistic tombs and monuments. Many famous people of art and politics were buried here e.g. Eva Peron, Wladimir Horowitz, Arturo Toscanini, Guiseppe Verdi. The cemetery has a Jewish sector. Also it is open art museum of 150 years of Italian sculpture.

1st of January, Easter, Easter Monday, 1st of May, 2nd of June, 15th of August, 8th, 25th and 26th of December: from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
