Emmet Hall

USA / South Dakota / Beresford /
 building, agriculture, interesting place

Emmet Hall is an interesting building because of its round architecture as well as because of its history. For decades, this building was used as a local dance hall; and, the building is most famous because of the fact that Lawrence Welk had performed here. The building was sometimes referred to as Forrester's Hall.

After the 1950's, the building was no longer used as a dance hall. Two large sliding doors were added; and, the building was converted for farm use. The building's uses in more recent years were reported to have included storing grain as well as housing sheep.
