Tall Cypress Natural Area (Coral Springs, Florida)

USA / Florida / Margate / Coral Springs, Florida

The Tall Cypress Natural Area is a cypress basin swampland with pine flatwoods. The area of the park totals just over 66 acres, which was originally intended for residential development. Nearby Coral Springs High School purchased half the land, and the city of Coral Springs and the county aided with the rest of the preservation project.

This park has a boardwalk that allows you walk above the naturally swampy area and enjoy the shade of the trees and tranquility of nature. With much of the area developed and cleared of natural surroundings, Tall Cypress Natural Area is a look back in time approximately 50 years ago.
