The main and biggest Buddhist temple in Sandakan and in Malaysian Borneo was built in 1987. It is located on a hill commanding a great bird's eye view over Sandakan and the Sulu sea. This temple is a popular tourist destination as well. Entrance is free and gate closes at 6 pm.
