The original Head Post Office building on Westage Street, Cardiff was constructed to the design of Sir Henry Tanner at the turn of the twentieth century. The building remained as Cardiff's Head Post Office until 1983, following which it remained empty into the 1990's.

HLN were appointed to renovate the existing Grade II listed building and to design extensions to create 110,000 sqft net of high quality modern office accommodation capable of sub-division both horizontally and vertically. The renovation works involved the cleaning of the Portland stone facades facing onto Westgate Street and Park Street and restoring areas where damaged.

Park Gate as it is now called today extends to 58,152 sq ft over ground and six upper floors with office space available as a whole or on a floor by floor basis from 4,305 sq ft to 58,152 sq ft. This Grade II Listed property is accessed directly off Westgate Street into an imposing marble lined double height reception. Formerly occupied by BT the building benefits from an existing tenants fit-out, which can be adapted to accommodate a third parties requirements.
