The PSB was opened in 1905 as the main city headquarters and terminal for Milwaukee's TMER&L interurban rail services, initially to Waukesha, East Troy and Kenosha. Later, services were extended to Watertown, Burlington and Sheboygan. It closed to interurban use in 1951, but is still used as the city offices of WEPCO.
