  on February 2014 I and my Mrs. visited Sri Mahalingeswara temple at Thiruvidaimaruthur. There, near Mahanandhi a Brahmahatthi figure is carved out. I was not knowing that and passed it with out seeing. But My Mrs saw and laughed at the figure and waved a hand at it. Before reaching Lord Siva's sanctum she burs-ted into tears for seemingly no reason. After this I also started removing my shirt and valets and decided in cool moods to become a sanyasi, renuncing the world. Some how with in 10 minutes we had Darshan of Mahalinga, and our illusions gone, and we started our normal thinking and wondered on the play of the Lord. We came out through another way as per tradition and felt that our confusion (Brahmahatthi) is left near Nandhi and it had no powers to follow us. Great is Mahalinga parameswara.
