  I grow up in this place. A vibrant village at the mouth of Malampaya Sound. My grandmother, Natividad Vasquez Distal(Vasquez clan from Mindoro) first set foot on it in 1901 when she was 9 years old. Only few Tagbanuas are inhabitants of the place. They settled in this place since then. My father Alejandrino Distal Abrina,became a public officials who did his best to bring development and promote tourism.

  I stayed here for three months on a holiday at my aunt Ross's home in the 70's and it was a wonderful place. I've been around the world all my life and I realise that this is special to me. I hope one day to visit it again. Palawan should be preserved for the new generation.

  We lived here almost 4 years during the 70s, that was the time that electricity wasn't around yet, we only used kerosene lamps.. I wonder how this place looks like now. I really want to go there again. Does anybody know the best possible and quickest safest way to go there from puerto princesa? Tnx
