Sometime after 8 September 1942, the United States acquired 522.32 fee acres by Declaration of Taking. Total acreage acquired for the site was 522.32.

The site was known as West Aux Field No, 5 Military Reservation, CA. The site was situated 22 miles southwest of Lemoore, Fresno county, CA and was used by the Army as an auxiliary field.

On 20 September 1946, the War Assets Administration, assumed accountability for the 522.32 acres site. The site is presently owned by Clear Creek Farms, Willow Springs Farms Inc., Everette & Evelyn Rank, and Jordan & Geraldine Telford. The site is presently used for agricultural farming.
