The library was officially opened on 16 April 1981, which offered a place for Kaohsiung citizens to acquire knowledge and leisureThe first professional music library of Taiwan was built with the subsidy of the Council for Cultural Affairs. After over one year’s preparation, the library was officially opened on 18 July 1998. It was a multi-function professional music library offering information and a venue for visitors.
