Original building was constructed in the 1960's, that building was a former Des Plaines Car Wash until 1973 when it became part of Shell gas station until its closure in 1995. The gas station portion was demolished in 2000 and the car wash reverted to its original name as Des Plaines Car Wash. It has closed its doors around late 2021 and demolished around late 2022.

Des Plaines Car Wash's parking lot was also shared by truck rental companies Budget Truck Rental from 2000's until 2018 and U-Haul from 2019 until 2021.

The current car wash building was constructed between early 2023 and mid 2023, it opened to the public on August 23, 2023.
