Stambeshwar Mahadev Temple situated in Mahi Sagar, is lord Shiva's Temple which is worshipped on Amayasya (New Moon Day) by many believers. This Shiv Ling was established by Bhagwan Kartik after killing Tarkasur (as mentioned in Kumarika khand as mentioned in Skand Purana). Here you have to offer abhishekh in oil and not milk. A REAL LIFE WORTH EXPERIENCE,the shivling gets submerged in high tide and one has to complete the pooja before that,a unique place to visit.

  • IF you would like to have lunch / dinner or stay at the ashram at this temple site, you can contact MR Pinakin or the MAHARAJ @ +91-2644-230501 and inform your arrival and stay details. They will cook gujarathi meals Rice, Dal,Curry...and they do not have any rate for this Service. Please donate generouly after your meal. THEY call it prashad. The place is very SERENE and you will enjoy the cool breeze under the shades of the trees of this ASHRAm. IF you inform in advance they can also arranhe a pandit for your RUDRABHISHEK. I went there on 19th October 2007 in my NEw swift car along with my parents, wife and 2 kids. We had a nice time.
