When McDonald's first opened in 1975 in Coral Springs, it was the first McDonald's that did not have "Golden Arches" on the exterior. Since signs above six feet tall (as well as signs with multiple colors) are not permitted by city code, McDonald's used a small version of their arches for this store to comply with local bylaws and restrictions. This anomaly was featured as a question in the original edition of Trivial Pursuit. In February 2015, the restaurant was demolished and rebuilt a few months later as a more conventional McDonald's store.
