truss bridge, bridge
Built in 1935 and named for Roy Links (1887-1935), former mayor of Llano and an original member of the Lower Colorado River Authority's Board of Directors. It was built after the June 1935 flood, which left the Llano River to crest at 42 feet (highest ever recorded) and washed away the previous bridge built in 1892. Standing at the bridge you can still see some of the pilings where the 1892 bridge once stood.
This bridge crosses the Llano River.
Four-span, Parker through-truss design.
