Located in the western part of Medias, the "Axente Sever" High School draw the eyes by its imposing buildings, placed in the middle of a park with trees, which represent an oasis of green and recreation for the whole region.

School has a long tradition, being the oldest school of Medias. The beginnings of this school have searched the establishment on 1 November 1871 the "MScolii Medii Agricole" in Medias. In 1884 the building was reconstructed from the ground. The courses were held in this building until 1911, when the destination was changed instead of school and interned for "school farm" (building B). Besides all this, the school has the folowing dependencies:

* 100 sleeping spaces, opened on September 8, 1895 (building E)
* A new school building, made in September 1911 in (building C)
* An administrative building shelters school management and administration (building D) 1897
* A weather station, founded in 1878
* A room for learning material and a laboratory chimico-technical.
