  • BAck in the 1960s they had a marching band that won a national competition. A promoter in Scandanavia offered to pay their way over plus chaperones and equipment for two weeks. They were so wildly popular that they spent several more weeks touring through-out Europe. I bumped into them at the Tivoli Gardens in Denmark where I got the gist of the story from a Mom holding some of their coats. Four Decades later I visited Snohomish and told my story to school staff and a color reporter for the local newspaper.
