Opened in September of 1993, Kamiak is the most expensive public secondary school ever built in the U.S. at a cost of approximately $62m. It's colors are purple, silver, and white along with its mascot, a Knight. The Kamiak Marching Band has participated in the Macy's Day Parade in NYC and the St. Patrick's Day parade in Dublin, Ireland. Recently, for the coming of the 2006 New Years, the Show Band travled to Paris to perform.
