 office building, real estate agency

Two segments remain of an avenue, named after William Stuart Primrose, that once ran along the north edge of the campus from Memorial Tower to the Nelson Building. In addition, Primrose Hall honors this primary founder of NC State University. Originally intended for botany and horticulture, this petite and charming building was the first to be renamed to honor a distinguished and loyal supporter of NC State. Primrose Hall has had many uses over the years. It was the first home of the School of Agriculture and has been a warehouse, student supply store, headquarters for the military department, offices for student publications, and a geology department.
