  • The Cuban Professional Baseball Winte League played its season here with four teams: Almendares Scorpions, Habana Lions, Marianao Tigers, and Cienfuegos Elephants. None of the games were played in any other stadium. From 1955 to 1960 the Cuban Sugar Kings AAA affiliate to the Cincinnati Reds played here as well. The Sugar Kings were a team in the International League along with Montreal, Toronto, Buffalo, Richmond, Syracuse, Miami and Columbus, OH, if my memory serves me well.
