  This is where the people near by it get their drinking water. The lake is off limits to unauthorized personel. Going swimming in there would be dangerous due to the currents caused by water intake pipes.

  Most of the capital area (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa...) get their drinking water from Silvola reservoire where the water is lead and stored from Päijänne (the largest lake in Finland).
