    I went up to the mine in 2004. It's private property, but the guy looking after the property let me visit, including swim in the water, which was clean, clear, and of completely unknown depth. Don't try to drive up there unless you have a high-clearance, 4-wheel-drive truck because the "road" is just deeply rutted dirt. And use plenty of DEET.

    Access is tough. Have to hike 3/4 of a mile past locked gate uphill. Wasn't worth the trip!

    I agree. access SUCKS, and the black flies were horrible. Definitely was a wasted trip!

    The property is closed to the public. If you trespass you will get a ticket for $124.
