NOTE: In 2013, one of the cooling plant (west building) was slated for demolition as it will be part of the KLCC-Qatari JV project.

The plant was completed in 1996 and was designed to distribute chilled water to all the buildings within the KLCC development. Currently, the plant supplies chilled water to buildings in the Northwest Development of KLCC and electricity to TNB (www.tnb.com.my/). The plant has the capacity to produce 30,000 RT of chilled water and 25.8 MW of electricity.

In 2006, further development was made. Total capacity is 42,000 RT. Also included is Ice Storage Plant with 11,250 RT capacity.
