Wat Sri Suphan, วัดศรีสุพรรณ, is located in Tambon Haiya, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. Wat Sri Suphan is one of the oldest in Chiang Mai, built originally between 1495 – 1515. It has been destroyed and rebuilt over the centuries. There are still boundary stones in the complex that show the original building. The temple is located within the silversmithing district of Chiang Mai. The new Ubosot is being sheathed in silver-plate, inside and out. During our visit in 2012, there was still a lot of work going on to finish the building and ornamentation. The temple also has an older, traditionally built Wihan or Vihara as well as a chedi.
