Sherando Park, named for the adjacent Sherando High School, is part of the Frederick County Parks and Recreation Deparment. The park lies along Route 277 east of Stephens City.
The park is host to many "summer concerts" hosted by the Parks and Rec Department and local radio stations, plus fireworks on New Year's and the 4th of July.
The park is home to 330 acres of hiking trails and a five acre fishing lake, aptly named Sherando Lake. The park is also home to many sports fields, as well as the area's only 5 metre olympic swimming pool.
