The Union Buildings are an icon in South Africa, instantly recognisable. Nelson Mandela was inaugurated here, and it is also the location of the famous Women's March in 1956.
The West Wing is the Presidency's Office; the East Wing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Buidling was designed by Sir Herbert Baker, and situated on Roberts Heights / Meintjieskop.
