The corporate headquarters of Rackspace, a cloud hosting company. The campus not only takes the "quirky and fun" atmosphere that Google popularized (the campus has a Count Chocula meeting room, the world's largest crossword puzzle, and a spiral slide from the second to first floor), but it's in a fully renovated former shopping mall, nicknamed "The Castle". Originally opened in 1974, Windsor Park Mall had Mervyn's, JCPenney, Dillard's, and Montgomery Ward at its peak, but demographic changes and anchor losses took its toll. It closed shortly after its last anchor, Mervyn's, closed in August 2005. In 2009, Rackspace bought the mall and began remodeling it into a state of the art, LEED certified office building that is now making headlines. The building still resembles a mall in some aspects (the west anchor does not seem to be renovated yet), and today it employs thousands.
