Accessed by a small, winding road up one side and down the other, Roanoke Mountain offers breathtaking views of most of the Roanoke Valley, except for the downtown and SW city area which can be viewed from nearby Mill Mountain. Mill and Roanoke mountains are a must visit for people travelling to Roanoke, or travelling along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
