Yorkship School, nee Yorkship Family School, nee Yorkship Elementary School, was built in 1920 to serve the community of Yorkship Village, a World War I federal housing project for shipyard workers. Currently a pre-K to 5th facility, it housed grades K-8 prior to the building of Morgan Village Middle School in 1969.
