  • One the busiest and most abstract airports in the world.
  • Massive and busy.
  • but filthy
  • I think it was this airport where I guy I used to know came here to fly home to London. Whilst queuing for security, he got so annoyed with one of the security guards that he made a Hitler gesture at him (when his back was turned, obviously). Turns out there was a group of 20 adults next to him who were German, and they thought he was being rascist! He had to go straight to the back of the queue to avoid being beaten up by the angry tourists.
  • how vulnerable is LAX to a tsunami?
  • Tsunami? Not likely. Everything south of Point Conception is facing south, protecting it somewhat from most large offshore western Pacific seismic events. Areas North of Santa Barbara are much more likely to be affected by a tsunami hitting the west coast of the U.S.
  • I'm sure this info is very outdated. At least Alaska and United have changed.
