  • Yes, I was there in 1991. I also found the experience extremely life affirmingly positive. For those that also did have a similar experience there, do you have any ideas why that was so? Also, if there is anyone who reads this and was there at the same time (as I was), it would be good to get in touch.
  • Yes, I was there in 1977. with my wife, we were students ib Romania and VOLUNTARY MEMBERS in the Yad Hanna. The experience extremely life affirmingly positive, with somunitary work . For those that also did have a similar experience there, do you have any ideas why that was so? Also, if there is anyone who reads this and was there at the same time (as I was), it would be good to get in touch
  • Was there from Jan. '77 to Sept. '77. I remember you and your wife, but for some reason thought you were from Romania, not Peru. I was 26 then and now will see 62 this year, and the names are starting to fade. I ended up converting to Judaism, the Conservative movement. My experience at the kibbutz and in Israel contributed to this decision. I ended up life long friends of Clive and Ylva, who were there that summer. That experience was memorable and unforgettable.
  • There's no place on earth quite like Yad Hanna. And in my memory, Kibbutz Yad Hanna was virtually perfect. What a wonderful group of people! How democratic, open to new ideas, kind. While I regret that the kibbutz is no more, I think that the spirit of Yad Hanna will persist as long as there are those alive who cherish it.
  • I've been in kibbutz yad hannah from december 1980 to may 1981. I worked with Chicky, David, Talma, Ines, Sabina, Tina, Kristina, Dan, Katania, Yusuru, Lars... Very good moments in my life that I like to recall.
  • Don, if you are the chap who had a hernia operation at that time, I remember you very distinctly. Also the couple from South America, Peru. We once sang together a song with the line "comandante Che Guevara". Was a wonderful time indeed. I met my wife in Yad Hanna", a volunteer from Germany, where we now live. I came to google for Yad Hanna becuase of a YouTube lecture by a Rabbi on Hanna Szenes (Senesh).
