Washington Park is nestled between Washington School, the Peru Public Library, and several residences and businesses. The park includes a public pool, a baseball diamond and softball diamond, several tennis courts, a concessions stand, vending machines, 2 covered picnic areas complete with electricity in the larger of the two, and some playground equipment such as swings, a slide, monkey bars, a jungle gym, and a play area. There are public restrooms and drinking fountains, but the fountains do not operate all year. There is a tavern located across the street from the park, so be sure to keep an eye on children.
