This site seems to be a little enigmatic, in that there is no ref' to 'Rotcombe' Pit as such in Down & Warrington or other ref'. books consulted.
That said, Rotcombe Pit does get mentioned by word of mouth, but could it actually have been the third pit which formed a part of the 'Heighgrove Collieries'; that is ''Heighgrove Engine Pit'??
