At 589 feet and 44 stories, this is Albany's tallest skyscraper. It houses New York State government offices and is named for Albany's longest serving mayor, Erastus Corning II. Corning was the longest serving mayor of any city in American History. An observation deck is located on the 42nd floor. Completed in 1973, the Corning Tower is part of the Empire State Plaza.
