Originally a GEX Department store, it is one of the largest flea markets in Western New York. A Moog Synthesizer factory was located in the building during the 1970s and 1980s.

Recently (2011), propositions have been made to move Super Flea to a new location due to the deteriorating condition of the current building. The current building would be demolished and replaced with a big-box store.
