The rather severe exterior of this asymmetrical church of dark brick does not anticipate the lightness of its interior. St Anne's occupies a corner site with the elegant buttressed brick bell tower and slender fenestration supplying almost its only external decoration. On the interior, the walls are of buff brickwork with concrete banding. The laminated timber roof is supported by curved timber trusses giving the impression of an upturned boat. This honey coloured timber provides a welcoming and unexpected warmth.
Completed in 1975, it was designed by H. M. Wright of Harvey and Wicks.
