Once bohemian, now rapidly gentrifying, the Elmwood Strip is a section of Elmwood Avenue lined with restaurants, bookstores, coffee houses, unusual stores and -- since it's Buffalo -- lots of bars. National chain businesses are the exception, not the norm, along the Strip.
