Mound Builders, interesting place
Approximate location of the Winchester Works Mound. It is located atop the crest of a broad ridge overlooking two tributaries of the West Fork of Ohio Brush Creek. The mound is covered with the dense growth of trees and brush at this time. Three large, broadly U-shaped embankments were located to the south and west of this mound on the same upland surface, but these have been destroyed by cultivation and road construction.
