Kaimasan hillock (Jhansi)

This hillock on the south-east side of the city has an old temple on the hilltop. The presiding deity of the temple is Goddess Kamakhya(known as Kaimasan, in vernacular Bundelkhandi). From this temple, one can have a bird's eye-view of the south-eastern side of Jhansi. This hillock has witnessed the Hurose's army when he fortified Jhansi in 1857.
