Former Rio Olympic Arena is a multipurpose indoor arena located in the Barra de Tijuca neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The arena was constructed from November 2005 to July 2007. It hosted the basketball and gymnastics events of the 2007 Pan American Games. It is owned by GL Events since December 2007. Since March 2008, the arena's official name is the HSBC Arena. The capacity is 15,000. It is also a popular concert venue.
For the 2016 Summer Olympics, it will host basketball and gymnastics events.
