  • Addalaichenai village is situated along A4 route,36 miles south of Batticaloa. this village is sandwiched between Akkarai pattu and palamunai. Home of muslim teacher's training college, college of education for muslims and the addalaichenai arabic college.
  • Addalaichenai Pradeshiya shaba consist three four major villages viz. Addalaichenai, Palamunai, Oluvil & Digavapia. Very interesting that perhaphs this is the only village where you can find 100% mono ethnic groupe (all muslims).. I heard before two decades there were few hindu families living in Vannara Vattai.. but due to ethnic unrest all of them have vacated sold out their properties to the locals and settled in thirai kerni near palamunai.
