Halasuru lake / Ulsoor lake is one of the few big lakes found in Bengaluru. It is also used by the Madras Engineering Group as a training area. Its one of the oldest lakes in Bengaluru, which was built by Nadaprabhu Sri.Kempegowda, the founder of Bengaluru.

The lake is a tourist attraction spot in Bengaluru. There is boating facility available. Vivekananda Park is adjacent to the lake. The park has a 12 feet bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda. The statue was made near Belur Math in West Bengal.

This lake was said to be the favourite tourist spot of The Mysore Royal family.The history goes that there was a fish with a diamond nose ring. The fish was let into this lake by them.
