Mistake! We aren't divided into two communities anymore! We are now ONLY Ramat Modiin. Ganei Modiin is part of Kiryat-Sefer!

Chashmonaim, (aka Hashmonaim), is a beautiful and growing Israeli town nestled on two hills bought by a private company from an arab title-holder in a legal and documented transaction. There has never been any dispute to the sale. Sadly, arabs who saw the sale as a betrayal chose to kill the seller soon afterwards - no surprise there, as this is typical behavior in this region. The town has 8 synagogues, representing a large multi-cultural Jewish population of Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Yemenite and Moroccan descent.
