Headland which is the site of a lighthouse overlooking Clonakilty and Rosscarbery Bays.

It is one of a number of headlands along the south western Cork coast offering good seawatching in the right conditions. The hedgerows further inland have nosted several interesting vagrants (e.g. Red-eyed Vireo).
