The Ellis Hotel is a historic hotel located in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Designed by William Lee Stoddart, the 15-story building opened in 1915 as the Winecoff Hotel, named after its builder, William Fleming Winecoff. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 31, 2009.

On December 7, 1946, a fire broke out in the hotel. 119 people died in the fire, including Winecoff. Because the building lacked fire escapes, fire doors, and sprinklers, the fire spread rapidly from floor to floor. The firefighters' ladders only reached up to the 8th floor, and their nets were not strong enough to withstand jumps of higher than 70 feet. It was the deadliest hotel fire in U.S. history, and prompted many changes in building codes.

The hotel was repaired after the fire and reopened in 1951 as the Peachtree Hotel on Peachtree. It was now equipped with fire doors and fire escapes. In 1967 it was donated to the Georgia Baptist Convention for conversion to housing for the elderly, and then repeatedly sold to a number of potential developers before becoming vacant in 1982.

From April 2006 to October 2007, the Winecoff Hotel was renovated into a boutique hotel named the Ellis Hotel after the street running along the building's north side. It now has 127 rooms and a restaurant named The Terrace on Peachtree.
