Sekolah Rakyat (People's School) is a free, formal, boarding school program initiated by the Indonesian government (Ministry of Social Affairs) for children from extremely poor families (deciles 1-2) to break the cycle of poverty. The program provides elementary through high school education, adequate facilities, dormitories, and a focus on character and skill development.
