A good view point for bird watching. When monsoon starts lots of Asian Openbill or Shamukkhol (Bengali) birds come to Kendua for breeding. They prey upon snails, small fish, frogs and even snakes which are present in the paddy fields. They build their nests in few tamarind trees only. Back when there was no internet or radio or TV, coming of these birds announced the arrival of monsoon for the local farmers which helped them in farming.
