Originally the Home Banks Building, this former office building has been a landmark in Elgin since its construction in 1929. It is one of only two Art Deco buildings in Elgin and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. After an arson attack on May 4, 2014, it was renovated into apartments after being bought by Capstone Development in 2016.
